Wondering how to edit this U.S. City Entry?

This information is unsourced and comes out of nowhere. The reference to Marion being "The Athens of the South" may be incorrect. Samford University's Library Research Series includes a biographical sketch of Samuel A. Townes written by Lee N. Allen wherein Marion is referred to as "The Athens of the State." Note the difference, State - not South.
