The year of establishment (1962?) needs verification. The source I can find, the Marlborough Boys' College web page is slightly ambiguous as to whether 1962 was the last year of the combined colleges, or first year of separate college. (in NZ school year matches the calender year). --Zaqrfv (talk) 09:48, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

With regard to the 1962/63 opening date, I'm not convinced that the new reference resolves the issue. The oldfriends.co.nz site has a significant number of participants who claimed to attend in 1962 ("Distinction of being first pupil kicked out of the first assembly on the first day school was opened by Head Mistress Miss Rickard."), although its difficult to use this as an authoritative reference.

And the "notability" tag? Couldn't this be applied equally to just about every page in the "Secondary schools in New Zealand" category? MBC, for instance? I assume that wiki-admins aren't biased against all-girls schools? --Zaqrfv (talk) 04:17, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
