The introduction to the article is clearly POV even for someone like me with little knowledge about mathematics education in New York. Can someone please clean this up and give us a simple, factual report of the state of math education in New York? Besides being POV, the statements are not strictly accurate -- though many reformers, including NCTM, have supported integrated mathematics, it is not really a reform idea. --seberle (talk) 15:44, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
