Coup
Is the coup alluded to the same as that mentioned in
Yes, the Sultan must be Sultan Qaboos of Oman. (163.1.167.44 (talk) 19:40, 3 June 2012 (UTC))
Content
Very strange article. The name of the yacht is Leander G.
The mysterious "Design" para is not about Leander G - the content is of tenuous connection, except as background to the first owner. Why the mystery? There is even a WP page for the well-documented Brigadier Sir Timothy Landon.
Although it may be so that discussions were opened with Peene-werft after the fall of the Wall, the contract is understood not signed until 2 days after the 3/10/1990 Reunification of Germany and she was not completed until 1992. No doubt she was built in Germany, not East Germany.
The idea of Gosling buying the half-constructed vessel with proceeds from the sale of NCP is bizarre - it was not sold until 1998. I wouldn't consider "Chris, a Belgian spotter" a particularly reliable citation. Davidships (talk) 21:21, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
