Article name

Which Koni is the series sponsor - the link points to a disambiguation page. Also is then Koni and acronym or not because maybe the article name should be changed from KONI to Koni. --Falcadore (talk) 20:55, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The sponsor is KONI Shock Absorbers, which is listed on the disambiguation but we don't have an article on them. And I'm not sure if KONI is an acronym or not, but everything on their websites and literature lists them as KONI and not Koni, but there's no real explanation of how they got the name. See their website. The359 (talk) 23:20, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Listed twice, as an automotive parts company and as a shock absorber company. Still the reference to the disambig page is not clear and I was hoping for ideas about clareity here. --Falcadore (talk) 03:12, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I presume the disambig page is in error, and KONI and KONI Group are the same company. They probably do make automotive elements outside of shock absorbers, but that's what they are known for. The359 (talk) 03:58, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Now that the sponsor changed, how about picking an sponsorless title such as Grand-Am Sports Car Challenge? --NaBUru38 (talk) 18:11, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

But that's never been the title of the series, so why would we make something up? I see no problem with keeping the sponsor in the title, the series was almost always shortened to "Koni Challenge", I assume it'll now be known as the "Continental Challenge". That'd be the only real alternative to change it to, if it even needs changing. The359 (Talk) 21:56, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
