Not accurate, things are missing

So, it appears a lot of the "discography" given here is of secondary rereleases. For instance, we have the first instance of "So Rare" given as a 1973 recording on "Everest" records, though I can immediately find it on a Pickwick 1967 release, which is noted as a re-release of a Dot recording. But I am sure I heard this tune on the radio in the late fifties, and this is supported by finding a Dot release "Ten Years of Hits 1954 - 1964" with "So Rare" on it, released in 1965. Now "So Rare" was written in 1933 and first recorded in 1937, but it had a revival in 1957 when recorded by Jimmy Dorsey (doing a fantastic sax solo) with Tommy Dorsey's big band (a sad side note, both the brothers were in ill health and died within a couple of months of the recording while it was still climbing the charts). So it is likely but not certain that the Mills Brothers recording was done in or soon after 1957, 2001:56A:F0E9:9B00:D92F:52E4:1657:7233 (talk) 10:11, 30 September 2022 (UTC)JustSomeWikiReader[reply]

I just commented (Jan 22, 2023) on the main Mills Brothers talk page about the excessive number of tracks mentioned there (imho) (along with some other issues). In that comment, I listed 15 tracks mentioned there that don't appear here (and I argued their inclusion there should be justified explicitly). Those tracks may not be singles so it may not be necessary to include them and I have no idea how to go about determining if they appeared as singles (A or B side) on their own. (Come to think about it, I don't know how closely the "Singles" list, here, accurately reflects what was really available over the radio and as retail records (both disks and as tubes).) Anyway, maybe someone should consider those 15 and whether they should appear here. On another note, the Singles table contains two columns, Country and UK that each have only one entry. Unless there's some reason to "hold" that territory, (dubious at this late date) it would be much better to remove those two (rightmost) columns and just add 2 footnotes. Fewer (useless) columns makes the table easier to read, imho.174.130.71.156 (talk) 03:00, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
