Irish? Not particularly

I'm removing the Irish bit. Molly is not originally Gaelic, the Gaelic form of Mary is Máire (pronounced Moira) and the diminutives are Máirín or Mallaidh. If anyone thinks that there's a statistically significant correlation between Molly and Ireland then it would need to say that Molly is the English equivalent of Mallaidh, or something like that. Odd choices

On what are the people choices based? Molly Ringwald is the only familiar name in that list. For example model Molly Sims and SNL comedian Molly Shannon are missing. Quite strange. 85.217.41.81 (talk) 04:12, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I'm adding the famous people named Molly that appear when one types Molly in the search engine.Glazed Terracotta (talk) 16:11, 18 May 2012 (UTC)Glazed Terracotta[reply]

What's Wikipedia's policy on that? Delete? -- 24.212.139.102 (talk) 19:35, 1 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's just a disambiguation page - sources aren't required. Ollieinc (talk) 00:08, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm really thinking in terms of: "Molly or Mollie is a pet-name for Mary or Margaret" right at the top. -- 24.212.139.102 (talk) 04:49, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
