Impact of fraud
This article needs a section explaining what the effects of mortgage fraud are, especially what it does to neighboring properties. Jesse Viviano 01:55, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Mortgage mess in the US
Someone I know in the banking and mortgage world, whose opinion is respected generally, said this:
“ | I'm a bit surprised that nobody in the financial press has figured out yet that the same flaws that impair foreclosed titles also could impair releases of mortgages for paid-off loans too. There are still a lot more performing loans out there than non-performing ones, a lot more refinances and arm's-length sales than foreclosures. | ” |
Just passing it along. I'm not versed enough in mortgages and such to know where it goes in articles or how important it is.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 14:17, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
