It might be worth mentioning that the page for the serial Captain America suggests that the differences between it and it’s source material (e.g. Captain America’s alter-ego is a D.A., who uses a gun) may be that it was originally written as a vehicle for Mr, Scarlet, then changed to Cap when Scarlet’s popularity declined.
