Guys what are the origins of the different tribes? My question is that how can pathans and Turks both be moghal at the same time? They both are different races, speak different languages and have different cultures. So how is it, that there is a pathan moghal and a Turk Moghal tribe at the same time?

The family of the Nawabs of Amb have long history of rule over the former Amb State also known as Mulk e Tanawul in pre-british rule documents, which is now a part of the NWFP, Pakistan. They are said to be descendants of Barlas tribe of the Mughals and this has been mentioned in many historical books, for example; The Asiatic Journal and Monthly Register for British and Foreign India, China, and Australia (1841), in the following words; "There is one chief who, though not an Eusofzye, yet from his position in the midst of, and intimate connection with, the Eusofzyes, and his singular history and character, must not be omitted in a description of the Eusofzye country. Paieendah Khan, of Tanawul, is a Mogul of the Birlas tribe, the same from which the Ameer Timoor was descended. All record of the first settlement in Tanawul of his family is lost, and it has long ago broken off all connection with the other branches of the Birlas, which are still to be found in Turkestan." While copy editing I noted that under the subsection "Tanoli" there is a sentence that seems to have something missing:

The victor then crossed the Indus[41] five thousand Mughals, Syeds and Afghans in Swat where Din Khan Mughal, an Anawar, was appointed the ruler.

Maybe it should read: The victor then crossed the Indus[41] with five thousand Mughals, Syeds and Afghans into Swat, where Din Khan Mughal, an Anawar, was appointed the ruler.

I also noticed that in the section "in Sindh" a word is missing in the following sentence (after "to" and before "during")

DENIAL

many theories of different origins have been related to the TANOLIS like that of MUGHAL BARLAS and RAJA JANJUA, but neither of them is true. Just do one thing, visit TANAWAL REGION and ask the Tanolis about their origin and i m 100% sure that they will deny these theories, infact they will say that they haven't even heard the terms BARLAS and Janjua before. They will always say that their forefathers migrated from Afghanistan to Swat and then moved to this area of Hazara. there can b MUGHAL BARLAS and RAJA JANJUAS living n TANAWAL, but they r not TANOLIS. May b they occasionnaly call themselves as TANOLIS just bcoz they live n TANAWAL or their forefathers have been living there, but also this is against the original customs and traditions of the TANOLIS. The real tanolis r those who were TANOLIS even before entering this region and naming it as TANAWAL. I have tried to make basic amendments here in this rather messed-up article, which needs a lot of work--I have also removed spurious Mughal origin claims of several local, indigenous clans of India and Pakistan and names of non-notable people listed under the 'notable' heading (they should have an existing Wikipedia page please to be listed here) ; I hope to be able to fix this further slowly.
