1989

The music from the first Twin Peaks album was recorded in 1989, and released in 1990. This is stated for each track on the album/CD sleeve. I recently read a very confused work by somebody who stated that the music was recorded from late 1989 to early 1990, before the musicians had seen the pilot. In truth, the stand-a-lone European video was already released by then, being basically the first episode with a closed ending, and the main themes are all present and corrrect. Also bear in the mind that the first "proper" pilot episode was previewed by certain fortumate folk (complete with music) in September 1989.
