The article states:

Although they are monocellular, they can reach immense widths and weights: in extreme cases they can be up to 1 metre across and weigh up to 20 kilograms (44 lb)

This seems to suggest that there are cells that weigh 20 kg and measure 1 metre in diameter. Is this true or does the introduction in fact need to be reworded? LookingGlass (talk) 14:15, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a reason for why the nomenclature of the Myxogastria (or should I say Myxomycetes), including many of its subtaxa, on Wikipedia does not follow the nomenclature apparently used in the literature and that used by Index Fungorum? 27.96.217.212 (talk) 10:37, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
