Howdy all, I created this page because of all the rumors and speculation that has been going around that the NFL may be headed to Toronto. Remove Crystal Ball

Rename?

I was thinking it would be a good idea to rename/move this page to be "National Football League in Canada" because we don't know if once Toronto gets a franchise, maybe Vancouver or somebody else. Let's expand it to make it more of a broad sense. Just a suggestion.

As of now the speculation is directed toward Toronto getting a new franchise. I have never heard or read anything that may suggest Vancouver or Montreal or anywhere else may get a franchise. If someone finds something

I understand. I think it would be also neat to focus maybe on fanbases in Canada for teams other than the Bills. Maybe talk about CFL vs. NFL fan appeal? I dunno.

Vancouver??? c'mon man! their not even building a stadium for the 2010 olympics (hving them instead in ulgy old BC Place, ugh!), let alonw they will build one for an NFL team, and forget Montreal, after the Big O (pretty building, awful stadium), you will not see a new football stadium there for a while, heck the CFL team there is renovating a college stadium, and even then it will only be 25,000 to 30,000 seater. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.213.222.59 (talk) 06:40, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Creating a new article for Bills Toronto Series

Hello. I am a writer for a PR/Marketing firm. One of our clients is Rogers Communications, one of the promoters/organizers of the Bills Toronto Series. I've been asked to write a Wikipedia article for the Series, and I'd just like to ask for any suggestions or potential hurdles. I realize this might overlap the existing NFL in Toronto article, but I believe, based on the Wikipedia guidelines, that a separate BTS article is warranted (the Series does include the first-ever regular-season NFL game played in Canada, and could possibly mark the push to either move an NFL franchise to Toronto, or for a group in Toronto to develop a franchise there). I appreciate your help, Alan. I'll still write the article (I'm a professional writer with years of journalism and textbook authoring experience -- I believe I can achieve the neutrality Wikipedia demands), and will submit it in draft form on WP. I welcome any feedback from you (your WP contributions are amazing and commendable!) or from other WP editors to make it the best possible article. I have no desire to "pimp" the Bills Toronto Series, and (as someone with no dog of much size in the fight) I sincerely believe it has at the very least a historical aspect of notability in the same way the NFL International Series does, and deserves a shot at a well-written, succinct entry. Vikings

I'm going to remove the reference to the Vikings' new stadium taking them out of the relocation speculation sweepstakes - as its page indicates, the stadium is still only proposed and lacks any public funding. UPDATE INFORMATION

This page has incorrect, outdated, and uncited information. The minimum seating for an NFL team needs to be cited, as is it most certainly not set at 50,000 as the article states. In addition, Paul Godfrey is incorrectly aligned with the NFL in Toronto theme in this article without citation. The statement about Godfrey is sourced, if you want to alter it you'll need another source. The article is outdated, perhaps beyond repair. I tend to doubt that this is a particularly notable subject.Cúchullain t/c 14:29, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
