From 1979 NFL season rule change section Centers are included as the interior offensive linemen in the uniform numbering system. It would appear that since 1979 centers have been allowed to wear numbers 60-79. Czechia2016 (talk) 21:16, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
