What is your source for that? TJ Spyke 21:20, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Its from WWE's Affiliate website.--Truco 21:43, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Elimination Chamber

Hey, a local commercial on the Seattle MyNetworkTV (KMYQ) station has broadcast the ad for No Way Out, and they have confirmed the return of the Elimination Chamber. I'll look for a video later. --BS01Swert (Talk) 02:31, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was at RAW in Seattle in October and they played an ad for No Way Out, which predominately featured the Elimination Chamber. I would say it's a safe bet that it will be returning for No Way Out this year. Eenu (talk) 20:20, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
WWE Magazine had an interview with the guys who store the Chamber, and they've confirmed they're taking it to Seattle for No Way Out. Steveweiser (talk) 20:37, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't mean there will be a match. WWE has to announce the match. TJ Spyke 20:39, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hate to break it to ya, but they clearly announced they were bringing it back in the commercial I previously mentioned. It's going to return, I'm pretty sure of that. --BS01Swert (Talk) 01:48, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hate to break it to ya, but they haven't started No Way Out commercials (except maybe in the city the event is taking place at, and that wouldn't count since they frequently announce temp matches to help sell tickets). WWE has not announced any NWO matches yet. TJ Spyke 01:51, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, they are advertising it locally, but they would not advertise it that early if it wasn't true. Plus, the interview was pretty clear. You could AT LEAST make a note saying the chamber MIGHT be a part of it. It's not speculation, and it can EASILY be removed if it doesn't happen. --BS01Swert (Talk) 02:18, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
We never add stuff that is just advertised locally. What's the big deal about just waiting? If they announce the match, we can add it. We don't add the Royal Rumble match to the RR page until it's announced by WWE either, even though we know it will happen. TJ Spyke 02:22, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Does this mean the winner of the royal rumble of 2009 will pull a john cena of last year, or will there be one featuring the best from each show? -"The Lizard" Joe Gauna —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.155.200.2 (talk) 21:53, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No matches have been announced yet. Also, this page is for discussing improvements to the article. TJ Spyke 21:56, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like all that ranting about no EC match has gone to waste http://www.wrestlezone.com/article.php?articleid=233272345Killa Koz (talk) 18:48, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So? It doesn't go in the article anyways since no match has been announced. TJ Spyke 18:49, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also the source is unreliable per the project's MoS.--WillC 18:53, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This is what's annoying about Wikipedia, the Elimination Chamber is on the poster for crying out loud. Luther Hull (talk) 19:16, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see a chamber. I see chains and Koslov looking like he wants a cookie.--WillC 19:19, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hell, we all know that the Elimination Chamber will take place at No Way Out, but a
verified this information, and Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that needs to have accurate and reliable information. The Elimination Chamber is advertised by wrestling news sites, which are not reliable, and as a result, it can't be added to the article. In addition, In Demand is not reliable in this context because they only release promotional information, not information that World Wrestling Entertainment has formally announced. Its as simple as that :)--Truco
21:28, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
lulz to Will. I agree with Truco(Or whatever he wants to call himself) on the EC. No RS, No info. Simple as that. §imonKSK 21:48, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

But at least you can ADMIT there will be one here. I don't even care if it goes on the page, you've got some proof in front of you to prove YOU YOURSELF that there will be at least one match. --BS01Swert (Talk) 09:38, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes there is a good chance there will be one. No Way Out will probably host one annual now like Royal Rumble does with the Royal Rumble match, but we can only add it once it is announced or a reliable source comes out that without a doubt the chamber will return.--WillC 11:20, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Like will said we have a good feeling that it will occur, and this year we had a good feeling that the Royal Rumble would be featured at the Royal Rumble, but we didn't add it because we had no source to verify that information.--Truco 22:41, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
What does it matter? Do you want to hear us say that there will be one? Sure, there will. Does that help us at all? No. §imonKSK 22:43, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WWE Championship Elimination Chamber -- Please Read!

I found out that hbk or cena will be in the elimation chamber from wwe:I just found out a scan from the February WWE Magazine edition. And you can't say it's not a reliable source, since it's from the own WWE.

Brady4mvp (Talk) 21:59, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We don't know if that is WWE Magazine. TJ Spyke 22:04, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Same font, same style. Brady4mvp (Talk) 22:20, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And? It still could be another magazine. imonKSK 22:22, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, it doesn't directly state that an Elimination Chamber will be held, its just speculating on how well those 6 superstars would perform in an Elimination Chamber if it happened at No Way Out.--Truco 22:29, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It needs to be announced on WWE.com or their Programming first I'm guessing? Oh and Simon, don't be pedantic, it's clearly WWE magazine. Big Luth (talk) 17:32, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You look familiar.... Anyway, I know that it is WWE mag, but either way, Truco is right. imonKSK 20:42, 14 January

2009 (UTC)

Who knows what's going to happen. What if Christian returns? How would he be involved in the mix. That ad from WWE Magazine is unreliable. It doesn't even state who the champion IS at that point. Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to No Way Out 2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85EliminationChamberMatch85 (talkcontribs)

Ok WWE magazine Is a credible source Not only that there are local advertisements stating that its gonna happen at NWO. We had this exact same discussion LAST year and it made it in then so it goes in now. LifeStroke420 (talk) 21:11, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And? Again the mag states what it would be like with those superstars. SimonKSK 23:30, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I KNOW that the Elimination Chamber is coming back, and I'm looking forward to it. I'm just not sure if those are the particpants. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85EliminationChamberMatch85 (talkcontribs) 02:48, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not Sure if this basically announces two elimination chambers since its the promo and a reliable source so would it be safe to say that? link: http://www.indemand.com/product/view/106295 SuperSilver901 (talk) 02:14, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's a ad. They did something similar with Armaggedon where the stadium had matches scheluded already. Then, it turned out that they were wrong. SimonKSK 20:41, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, that was those ones on TV and someone reports them and then they are always wrong but when in demand post the ad it always and has been correct. About Armageddon in demand never had anything about matches. Also I don't think WWE would be giving "ads that turn out to be wrong" to a partner SuperSilver901 (talk) 21:19, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It was an official WWE poster outside the stadium. It turned out to be wrong. I didn't say anything about TV. And, yes WWE would do that.SimonKSK 21:23, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What are you talking about by posters? Armageddon? I thought that was Unforgiven, but it doesn't matter. And, no WWE wouldn't do that. I can guarantee that we are going to be seeing that promo on television eventually. SuperSilver901 (talk) 21:27, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Can everyone just wait like 2 weeks, this PPV is right around the corner. Lets just wait for WWE to confirm it.--TRUCO 21:29, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, the argument is pointless anyway. SuperSilver901 (talk) 21:31, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Sigh* Look at this old version of this page. Read it? Now, tell me, did those matches happen? No. WWE does do it to their partners. It's to build up excitement and sales. And I agree with TRUCO. Just wait. SimonKSK 21:33, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No they did not. Did everyone see the advertisement it? No. So that wasn't reliable it could of been someone who told the editor for the article on wrestleview that they did say that it could of been a lie. Who knows? But this is out in public in demand NEVER said a thing about those matches happening. Yeah its true WWE in trying to build excitement and build sales. But if they are false-advertising then the fans will find out that its not going to happen then whats the point? Again even though guarantees don't matter for adding the match to wikipedia but I will bet you that ad will appear on TV and YouTube (WWE's official YouTube Channel). End of Discussion. SuperSilver901 (talk) 22:03, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I bet you that there were people at the stadium. I bet you tthat they saw the ad. I bet that an editor that lived there also saw the ad. It was an OFFICIAL WWE ad. The ad was also out in public. Does that make any difference? No. I'm not saying that there won't be a chamber match, I'm just saying to avoid what happened some time ago. SimonKSK 22:07, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for wasting your time with what I said. Lets now stop the bickering and wait till they announce something. Again sorry this is really pointless SuperSilver901 (talk) 22:15, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Champions

[3] - I've removed both champions from the Elimination Chamber matches. There is nothing to suggest Cena and Edge will be walking into No Way Out as champions (they may very well drop their titles before then - very unlikely; but possible) - therefore I've removed them. After all,

Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. D.M.N. (talk) 19:20, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply
]

True, but they are the current champions, so they should be added to it. Besides, its just as easy to change it if they drop their titles anyway.--Mrrko (talk) 20:39, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
We can't have that per
WP:CRYSTAL.--TRUCO 22:18, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply
]
No thats ridiculous. If thats what CRYSTAL meant we wouldnt be able to list any matches before the actual events. The champions are the ones advertised to be defending so we know that the champions will in fact BE IN the matches, whomever they are, so they SHOULD be included on the article.--ProtoWolf (talk) 01:21, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wrong, because they are officially sourced with statements from WWE. WWE has not announced yet that Edge or Cena will go into the chambers as champions.--TRUCO 01:23, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, Cena does appear on the pic for the match, so I guess that he should be added for now.

http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/stories/bWWE_SmackDown_Taping_Results_0130_Spoilersb.shtml Triple H, Big Show, and Undertaker will also be in Smackdown's Elimination Chamber match with Edge. How come I can't edit this page? Who the heck would page protect "No Way Out 2009" ? Freakys 24.160.145.53 (talk) 07:55, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Although it's not an "official" source, my friend went to smackdown taping in Indiana on the 27th and he said for sure, Big Show, taker, and triple H will be in smackdown's chamber match. You can confirm this on aaaalll the spoiler sites. Will someone edit this page and include those? Why is this page protected? What kind of cry-babies would lock this page? I mean, really, come on. Are we that fascist? 24.160.145.53 (talk) 07:59, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are just upset because your "uncle"'s site it not considered reliable. If you don't like it, no once is forcing you to stay here. TJ Spyke 05:43, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

lol actually, i didnt really care all that much dude, a friend of mine went to that smackdown taping and told me the results and thats what got me interested. And its not my uncle's site. He helps manage some spoiler sites thats all. Im not a giant wrestling fan like some people but i just happened to click this article and saw that the info could be updated. I didnt know the attack of the mark nerds would shoot down the idea of putting spoilers on wikipedia. But some to think about it, it's probably better to wait til friday anyway, you know, for the marks. 24.160.145.53 (talk) 05:59, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I edited it, putting in the undertaker, big show, kozlov and triple H, and someone undid it thinking its vandalism!! I think dats stupid!--

LOL, actually, you can get that information at WWE corporate web site. 24.160.145.53 (talk) 05:59, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ewrestlingnews is very reliable. However, if your argument is that its not right to put "unconfirmed" spoilers on the page to protect the marks from seeing what they dont want to see, you have a very, very good point. As for the unreliablity part, I dont think that has much leg to it, in my opinion. 24.160.145.53 (talk) 06:06, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Noone really cares for your opinion, that's how it goes here, technically. Ewrestlingnews isn't reliable.

Noone cares what I think? what about ruthless? he cares. Kalajan, please do not be a dick. I agree that perhaps spoilers shouldnt go onto wikipedia, but dont tell me "noone" cares what I think. This is a discussion page. If I wanted to edit this page I would just create a name and edit it. But do I? No, because I believe in discussion first. Please do not be a prick. We're all wrestling fans here obviously. It seems more likely, that nobody really gives a care what you think either, you just have people who agree with you, just like there are people who agree with me. 24.160.145.53 (talk) 05:47, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't there be rules against being uncivil, because you two are being quite uncivil? Kulajan and 24.160.145.53. Anyway, they can be added. Is wrestlingtruth.com reliable? Just adding [4]. CFountain (talk) 16:44, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I admit it. I was uncivil. How do you have two week spoilers fountain? 24.160.145.53 (talk) 20:07, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WWE taped both this weeks and next weeks SmackDown's on Tuesday. They've done this a couple of times before (and will probably do more often since they are trying to save $20 million in costs this year). TJ Spyke 20:09, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

All or Nothing?

WWE.com and WWE TV is billing JBL vs. Shawn Michaels as a "All or Nothing Match" should we also bill it as that? Super Silver901 Contact 21:27, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In the prose yes, not in the tables.--TRUCO 503 21:29, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's not what the match is. They are just promoting it that way. SimonKSK 21:30, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly, in the prose it can be stated that it was promoted in that way, but in the tables the match is what the match type is.--TRUCO 503 21:32, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
We had this same discussion wtih Hogan/Michaels a few years ago (when WWE called it a "Legends vs. Legends match"). It's not a different match type, and is basically just promotion. I agree about mentioning it in prose, but not the table. I also thought I would mentioned I changed the text a little. The stipulation is not just that HBK would be under contract to JBL, it's that JBL would own his name and likeness. That means that even after Michaels is dead, JBL would be able to use his name and likeness to make money (the same way Elvis Presely's name and likeness continue to make his estate millions of dollars every year). Randy Orton

The section about Randy Orton needs to include more information on the events leading up to him punting Vince McMahon in the head. That section may be confusing to people who may not have watched those events. Wwehurricane1 (talk) 05:41, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

More events?

Only 5 events total tonight? Seems like not many, no events with divas either. Is this going to be the shortest PPV in history?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cooly123 (talkcontribs) 22:01, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have to remember that the average length of the Elimination Chamber match is over 25 minutes and there are 2 of those tonight. Plus, there is the possibility of unannounced matches taking place. Finally, this is not a messageboard. This page is for discussing improvements to the article. TJ Spyke 22:05, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
