Rem'd refs

I moved here each of the following refs

<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/441af564-c8b8-11dd-b86f-000077b07658.html%7Ctitle=North Face|last=Andrews |first=Nigel|date=December 13 2008|publisher=Financial Times|accessdate=2008-12-14}}</ref>
<ref>{{cite web|url=http://movies.nytimes.com/2010/01/29/movies/29north.html%7Ctitle=New York Times Review}}</ref>

Of what the accompanying article got right, they verified what would be more clearly verified via IMDb; each one's former placement implied verifying assertions that the corresponding sources do not include.
What it needs most is a good review by a studious and experienced mountaineer in a reliable publication like

Morerefs}} tag, without taking time yet to add what sources i've found.

  • Harrer will be important refs, as will movie reviewers who emphasize the realistic feel, which frankly is probably far more significant than the issues of fact.

Simpson

The Simpson work i had in mind in the

Harrer (who was contemporary to the events) compiled in The White Spider
from his own climbing contacts, and perhaps supplemented by his first-hand experience with a (probably overlapping) route.)
W/ that book in hand, i'll soon go thru the article with two tasks in mind:

Documenting the historical section's assertions
Removing from my own contribs in the Synopsis points that conflict with the history, and feel to me likely to reflect my confusing characters with each other rather than actual plot/history discrepancies (Not all that i remove about the plot is necessarily wrong, but i'm too uncertain at present to be prepared to stand by it.)
