The meeting with people from Sandbach, Tinne & Company while in India seems unlikely to me. That partnership, together with its two associated partnerships (one was in Liverpool, one in Glasgow and the other in Demerara), was primarily involved in trade with the West Indies both before and after the abolition of slavery.

This article hasn't been sourced in a decade and I am tempted just to remove the claim. - Sitush (talk) 15:09, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
