I added an info-box including the O₂ Logo and some details. I also stated the name of the company as O2 Communciations (Ireland) Limited || Cumarsáide O2 (Éire) Teoranta as this is the company's offical name, with O₂ Ireland being its trading name. -- Ró2000 00:05, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the criticisms section it states "In May 2007, O2 Ireland management announced that the entire O2 Ireland technical staff were to be outsourced to a single Managed Service Provider." for which there is a reference (although I think classing this as a criticism is subjective then, "As of November 2007 this does not appear to have happened but it has begun to happen beacuse as of April 2008 IBM will the be outscourced technical team for O2." BT

There was a lot of info in this article about the "BT era" - the truth is that BT only owned Esat Digifone/O2 Ireland very briefly, they acquired it less than 12 months before they decided to spin off the mobile operations and the service was almost immediately split from the rest of Esat and incorproated into the BT Wirless division. After the demerger of O2, BT had little or nothing to do with them and the Esat BT branding happened a long time after BT ceased to own O2 Ireland.
