Notability issue

@Rosguill: In Chinese, the name of the college is Ocean College (Zhoushan campus), Zhejiang University. This is because although Ocean College is not entirely based in Zhoushan campus, they have the same administrative team and are regarded the same entity by law.

A similar case is the situation of China Film Administration and the Publicity Department of the Chinese Communist Party, which are literally the same organisation, although China Film Administration is often mistakenly believed to be under the Publicity Department of the Chinese Communist Party on English-language media. When it comes to film-related issues, the organisation will call itself China Film Administration rather than the Publicity Department of the Chinese Communist Party. Another similar case is the

China National Tobacco Corporation
. The organisation sells tobacco as a commercial firm but maintains a name as a government organisation.

This is relevant to the notability issue because there are lots of coverage of Zhoushan campus in the references, which proved the organisation as a notable organisation. Moreover, in these references, the Ocean College is also often mentioned. For example, when it comes the journal article - Tang, Kemeng (2017), much is described about how the library is designed to fulfilled the requirements of the Ocean College as summarised in the conclusion section. Thus, I don't think there is any notability issue. --PaintWoodSt (talk) 07:07, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Besides, I just added coverage of the college's foundation, not just the campus, by Xinhua News Agency and Zhejiang Daily. PaintWoodSt (talk) 07:23, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, understood--I think that we're still skating closer to not meeting GNG than ideal (the Zhejiang News coverage is pretty trivial, and the report in Xinhua reads like a press release reprint), but between 浙江大学海洋学院异地办学初探 and 高校图书馆分馆建设实践探索——以浙江大学舟山校区图书馆为例 I'm confident that additional coverage exists to push the topic over the line. signed, Rosguill talk 15:56, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
