Comments:

  • No DAB links, no dead links, files check out in terms of copyright
  • "Pah Wongso Crèches"– shouldn't this come before "Pah Wongso gearresteerd"?
  • "(Untitled postcard), Jakarta: Pah Wongso Foundation, 1957"– shouldn't this be before "(Untitled postcard), Jakarta: Pah Wongso Foundation, 1970s"?
  • Would it be better to {{circa}} the year in the "Further reading" section rather than list as "(1951?)"?
    • Done. Apparently it nests. Excellent. (Though I'm getting CS1 errors). — Crisco 1492 (talk) 03:01, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • It would be helpful if you could disambiguate between the postcards and advertisements in the "References" section, and then disambiguate through numbers, if necessary
  • Can you specify the page number for reference 27?
  • Reference 31 "De nieuwsgier 1954, Nieuws." states "Nieuws" but links to "Boksen"; not sure which you want
  • Reference 9 "Bataviaasch nieuwsblad 1938, Pah Wongso voor den Rechter." links to "'Pah Wongso' voor den Politie-Rechter"; again, not sure which you want
    • Trimmed (I'd trimmed the "Politie", but I get how there could be issues with that. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 03:01, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Reference 26 "Pah Wongso Foundation, (untitled) 5" links to the fourth untitled in the series, but this could be avoided entirely with the disambiguation detailed above
  • Reference 28 "Pah Wongso Foundation, (untitled) 6." links to fifth untitled in the series, though it really should be the fourth if the dates are arranged as above
  • Reference 35" Pah Wongso Foundation, (untitled) 7." links to the sixth in the series
  • Explanatory note A (Barnard 2010, p. 65) really should be linked as a reference
    • I've used the same format in multiple FAs. It avoids having an extra click (see Sudirman for an example). — Crisco 1492 (talk) 03:01, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Such was Wongso's popularity that not sure this is needed here
  • A sentence on his death would be a nice way to end the lead
  • Liem Tek Hien, who refused to pay f. 10 for a walking stick he said they had not purchased, who's "they"?
  • Do you have a reference for note "D"?
    • It's a simple translation (from
      bazaar Malay
      ; formal Indonesian would be "tolong menolong");
  • He and his wife Gouw Tan Nio is this the same wife as above? Why not just mention her name there?
    • Refs don't say that much. If they already had five kids, it's likely, but a little too close to OR for me. Search of the archives for their names together gives a 1948 announcement for a son (though which of their children this was is not indicated) on 30 October 1948. That's also the earliest mention of her name in the archive. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 03:01, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • The file in the "Later life" breaks the "Explanatory notes" section header on my viewing platform; can you add a {{clear}} to the bottom of the "Later life" section?
  • Does "KITLV, Inventory" list a place of death? Seattle (talk) 02:09, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • There's an error in the "Further reading" section, as I'm sure you know. You could copy the code from the template and paste it in the "date" section; perhaps that would work? Otherwise, I would just use a c.
    • Either one would have an error message. Hence why I originally had the (1951?) outside of the template.  — Crisco 1492 (talk) 18:23, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • WorldCat lists the book at Leiden University Library [1]; can you ask for the copy? According to our article, "the library manages the largest collections worldwide on Indonesia [...]", so if you're planning a trip, make a note of this book.
    • Not in the near future, but yes I'd definitely keep my eyes open. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 18:23, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • [2] might be of use somewhere.
    • Without knowing the context of those snippets, I can't be certain, but the one on page 99 looks like the author and Wongso visited a local leader (lurah). The second one (p. 101) seems to be about trying to find a buffalo in the ravine (I'd expect it to be the same trip). — Crisco 1492 (talk) 18:23, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I receive a preview, from [3], of:

Ada Pah Wongso lagi tawari tenglcng katjang atas nenampan kertas kem- banir pada prang banjak. Pah Wongso? Saja mongintjcr dengen terlebih pci dal a. Bockan Pah Wongso. bockan, tapi si nakal Lien) Hwin Giap! Socatoc sore nrang

        • I actually have that book (well, a more recent edition)... but it's at home, 16,000 km or so away. Reads like dialogue between the author, Nio Joe Lan, and Wongso. Depending on how much detail there is, it could be useful, but I can't know for sure until I get back to Indonesia in February. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 18:23, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • A JSTOR search yields nothing other than the Barnard article. Let me know if these are of any use. Seattle (talk) 04:34, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'd be more stringent with regards to comprehensiveness if this were a featured article candidate, but for Good article criteria, I'd say this meets criterion 3. Passing; thanks for the prompt responses. Seattle (talk) 18:45, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agree. I wouldn't bring this near FAC yet. Thanks! — Crisco 1492 (talk) 21:22, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
