Anyone know if people allergic to penicillin are allergic to this?

Additional Use as a Chelating Agent

It's probably worth noting that penicillamine has also been used as a chelating agent in the treatment of elemental mercury embolisms. See https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMicm040265.
