Is there any source for this contention AD Mills' Dictionary of English Place Names (oxford 1991) gives the Pear etymology Spinney Hill (talk) 11:55, 23 October 2019 (UTC) Since there has been no further comment I have made an edit to include the "Pear theory"Spinney Hill (talk) 11:14, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
