  • This is an important part of India's history and I would love to edit further. --Bhadani 12:17, 15 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, I want to give input that there is a village Pindrai ,Block Nainpur,Distt. Mandla ,which is in old route of pilgrims moving from south India to North India. The more historical information can be collected from local office of Archaeological Survey of India at District head quarter of Mandla.I put this information as the detail of the subject Pindari is matches with history of village Pindari Mandla.Further the Narmada river flow around 20 miles from Pindrai. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anurag Shukla117.210.195.95 (talk) 18:38, 31 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject class rating

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 19:10, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The first two lines of the article are contradictory, first says Pindaris were Afgans or Pashtuns, the next sentence says 'were composed of the refuse of all races...'. Please clear Wikipedia's position on this issue, if possible correct it. Thanks.

1. The Pindaris were an irregular Afghan or Pathan or Pashtun people, who were dispersed throughout the Maratha states a..............[1].

2. They were composed of the refuse of all races congregated together solely for purposes of plunder[2]. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.168.38.1 (talk) 15:18, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pindaris were not all Pashtuns (Afghans) but were a mix of all races. Chitu Pindari was a
