Im from chile and a try to found flat glass in art, I know exist a school of that
float glass and plate glass actually refer to different methods of manufacture and should not be regarded as identical or fully interchangeable (although the terms have become pretty much identical among lay-people). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.27.47.245 (talk) 08:07, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Why not to move?
According to Google "plate glass" is 147 times more common than "flat glass".
My newest research (option Verbatim):
Google All / Books:
"plate glass" 550k / 977k
"flat glass" 428k / 237k
"sheet glass" 413k / 261k
CoCA gives similar results. So I will try to change the title.
