Stephen King connection
Stephen King's short story "Umney's Last Case", which was popular enough to be republished by itself as a very slim paperback, has a protagonist called Clyde Umney who starts off as a Chandleresque parody of a stereptypical forties private eye, and eventually discovers that he's a fictional character named after the lawyer in this novel. Doesn't that deserve a mention? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.144.29.80 (talk) 09:35, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
