There is reference for each country chart entry, except for Yugoslavia. It seems odd to me to include this information and a quick search on Google did not return any information concerning this song on hypothetical Yugoslavian billboard charts. Who in the name of God deleted the genre of the song? Excuse me for one second while I reinstate the genre. And someone has to secure this page. First off, power ballads are hard rock songs by default, just like R&B from the '80s and beyond defaults to Contemporary R&B.

Second, plenty of sources call "Poison" a hard rock song, for instance Metal Injection which says "Poison" is "a tired [sic] and true hard rock classic". Binksternet (talk) 19:46, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There are indeed genres by default, a few of them anyway, including

WP:BLUE talks about the times when we don't need cites for obvious facts. The general practice at Wikipedia is to automatically change R&B to Contemporary R&B if it is 1980s or later. Rappers are generally classified as having Hip hop music as their genre unless otherwise specified. And power ballads are hard rock songs.
