1999 Boundary Change

I believe the 1999 boundary change (from Port Moody-Burnaby) is too significant of a population shift to merit listing on this page. It would be very misleading. The change involved removing Burnaby Mountain (SFU) and neighbourhoods in Burnaby for the brand new Coquitlam neighbourhood of Westwood. Westwood is a major growth area. In 1996, Westwood was forest. By 2001 it added about 10,000 people. See 2001 Stats. -16 May 2005 maclean25

  • I agree. Only list results for the riding that occurred under this name (which was newly created in 2001). If, however, a riding shifts boundaries but keeps the same name, include the results and note the boundary changes under History. DoubleBlue (Talk) 22:40, 16 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Anyone else heard of the electoral commission suggesting a split of this riding, that's the current word on the street, I hear.TotallyTempo 10:12, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
