Contributions to Public Safety

Hi, I don't mean to nit-pick, but I think this topic needed an overhaul. There were also a lot of spelling errors. I think the topic will be much clearer to the general public now.

I removed this sentance:

However in the preventative sense "public safety" must be the priority of all those who, in any way, engineer circumstances for others.

As it seems to be stating someone's point of view. However, if there are some studies which could be cited suggesting that many non-public organizations contribute to public safety then they should be added. Or, specific examples.

Public Security doesn't even offer a definition. There's no evidence that these are specific concepts that have any meaning beyond what the two individual words mean in combination. At the very least, they should be merged. bobanny 17:42, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply

On second thought, I'm going to change my proposal to deletion rather than merge. bobanny 22:40, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Definition

Perhaps the article should specify what is not included in "public safety". Is there a clear definition? Apparently, from the current see-also list, occupational safety is included. --LA2 (talk) 23:46, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Public safety software inclusion

Hello,

I work with a public safety software provider and was wondering if including that information here on this page would be beneficial? If so, I'd be more than happy to include information regarding that. 24.115.1.177 (talk) 19:08, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll check out those pages for sure. I wanted to contribute a section about the role technology plays in public security, specifically apps and softwares that aid public safety officials in the field. I think this could give the general public a better understanding of how essential technology has become, plus it gives a glimpse into the work they do. None of the information would be top-secret gov. information, just general info. about software. 24.115.1.177 (talk) 16:54, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
