Ramapuram too generic

Ramapuram is quite a generic name. There is another town near Kottayam Kerala called Ramapuram another near Malapuram, there is also a family that goes by the same name. I think we should have a generic article called Ramapuram and then link them to specific instances of Ramapuram such as ramapuram in Tamil Nadu, Ramapuram (Kottayam Kerala), Ramapuram (Malapuram, Kerala), Ramapuram Family etc.

Just let me know your openion.

I created a disambiguation page per your suggestion. More Ramapurams can be added there. - Ganeshk (talk) 02:18, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ramapuram (family) will be deleted if no proof is given about their notability. If you have any references, please update the article for it to survive deletion. - Ganeshk (talk) 06:58, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ramavaram, Tamil Nadu and Ramapuram, Andhra Pradesh
are two different places and they show up on google earth in the same co-ordinates, which leads to confusion.

By grouping up all the places called ramapuram, you are not solving the problems. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Srisez (talkcontribs) 12:10, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article gives a town named Ramavaram in Thiruvallur district in Tamil Nadu state:

  • However, Google Maps shows a Ramavaram to the southwest of Chennai at 13.0251N 80.1847E, which judging by the Tamil Nadu tourist map may be just inside Tiruvallur district. This Ramavaram is near several features mentioned in the article, including MIOT hospital, L&T, the Porur Road, and the Chennai Airport. BrainMarble (talk) 04:22, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
