Please note, the Slovak government website figures regarding percentages of practitioners of various religions require some recalculation and interpretation. The website's wording is perhaps somewhat poor and misleading. It says that 84.1% are 'believers', and that of these, so many are of this and that persuasion. This means that all of the 'persuasions' must be multiplied by 84.1% to determine the actual percentage of the overall population. Also, I have taken the liberty of interpreting the government's description of 'Greek Catholics' to mean 'Greek Orthodox', because otherwise there are no Greek Orthodox, which all other surveys list as approximately 5%, and which all logic tells us surely do exist, thus the interpretation.
