Two years

@Safiel: Troup served for two years, among a variety of professions in a long and interesting life, as a federal judge. Your recent edits seem to have made those two years the centerpiece of his biography, reducing all else to a cookie-cutter "federal judge" format. While some of the edits have been constructive, I am not convinced that this is an overall improvement to the article. Lwarrenwiki (talk) 06:05, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Lwarrenwiki: I have expanded the lead and reordered the article to address your concerns. The lead now addresses his military service and presence at the surrender of General Burgoyne and the order of the body gives more of an emphasis to his military service. @Safiel: Thank you, I appreciate that. It's much improved. I hope you won't mind if I place a broader heading over some of the short sections, while taking care to keep his federal judicial service prominently visible. Lwarrenwiki (talk) 14:33, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
