To call this a niche publication is ridiculous. I respect that you yourself may not be a horror fan, but calling this "niche" because it covers a subgenre of popular culture is like calling Ring Magazine "niche" because it only covers a single sport.Timmybiscool (talk) 16:23, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A user claiming to be Rue Morgue writer has recently been attempting to remove mention of Preston Fassel from the page, initially claiming that he has never written for the magazine and now claiming that he has only ever reviewed DVDs for the magazine. A look at Rue Morgue's own webpage reveals not only dozens of articles for the Rue Morgue blog dating back to 2015, but issue summaries on which Fassel is credited as the author[1] of multiple [2] features, including one in which Fassel is co-credited WITH the Gore-Met [3] (Inside Issue 173: Gore Evermore- In the weeks before his death, Herschell Gordon Lewis tlaked to Rue Morgue about his legendary career as the creator of the Splatter film. Plus! Arrow Video's new H.G. Lewis box set, and reissued Blood Feast sequel Blood Diner. By Preston Fassell, the Gore-Met and Dave Alexander. In addition, this is verified by third party sources, including two newspapers <ref> At worst this appears to be trolling; at best, it's some sort of professional rivalry leaking onto Wikipedia where it doesn't belong.Timmybiscool (talk) 15:08, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
