¿Republic of Sonora?

There's a section which states that the Second Republic was preceded by the Republic of Sonora. Even though William Walker proclaimed the existance of said "Republic", that was never the case of any government. Not even the United States recognized the existence of said State. It is even defined in the wiki page of the Republic of Sonora that its existance was a scam. Further more, there was never any local government official who sided with Walker or even recognized him as any form of authority. I do feel that placing "the Republic of Sonora" as a preceding State is misleading at best. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Erick Rozo (talkcontribs) 22:05, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ending

The article is inconsistent about when the Second Republic ends, whether with the establishment of the First Empire of the rise of the Porfiriato. I think the latter makes more sense, but I'll work on getting citations on the matter. --Rainier Blue (talk) 18:41, 9 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
