Any guesses?

Based on the teaser images so far (see [1]), many people have speculated on who the members of the Secret Avengers will be. My guess of the characters in those images is that the team will include Spider-Man, Cloak, Scarlet Witch, War Machine, and Steve Rogers in some kind of leadership role. What do you think? Plot

When exactly should the plot synopsis begin on the main page? I know it's only one issue in, and it just came out yesterday, but I'm curious. AdventureTime (talk) 00:34, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cover photo

Either the caption for the photo on this article needs to be changed, or the picture associated with it needs to be corrected. It currently has a picture of Secret Avengers #1, with a caption that labels it as issue #2, and the artist is wrong as well. I tried to make the correction, but someone changed it back, and the image does not match up with the description. Fortdj33 (talk) 12:29, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is currently a dispute at File:Secret avengers.jpg, see the file's talk page for help in resolving the matter.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 12:44, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That isn't an appropriate place for discussion on the best image for an article, this is. So with that in mind...
Simple solution: The infobox is a team/title combined box so there are two possible image slots. The team image can go in the top one and the first issue cover goes in the bottom one. So everyone gets the image they want.
In future though, please don't swap infobox images by uploading a new one over the old one, upload it separately and it is always worth discussing such a change first to avoid this kind of thing happening in the future. (Emperor (talk) 01:37, 10 July 2010 (UTC))[reply]
2-ish¢ - If the "team & title" 'box is used, using both the cover and the art - 2 images - is only really a possibility if there is a discrepancy between the two. That is, either the 1st issue doesn't use the team or it's skirting the line about showing a later line up. Right now, the first issue cover shows the line up and the line up hasn't changed. Putting both in invites one to be deleted as redundant -
WP:NFC#3
. And the most likely to be removed is the art only file.

Roster List

I added a box that contains the roster list complete with sections for name, alias, issue joined and notes. This is the convention used in articles such as The Mighty Avengers and The New Avengers.

With this in place, should the roster in the publication history section be removed? Davelecave (talk) 17:19, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Civil War team

What does everyone think about including a section on this page about the similarly-named informal team led by Captain America during the Civil War series? Since there is very little information on this team on the Civil War series page, it makes sense that there should be some place to include this information, even if just a small paragraph or two. 108.69.80.49 (talk) 02:08, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think it might run into notability issues, particularly because Civil War was brief rather than a complete long-running title, but I'm sure you can find something on CBR about it to negate the notability problem. In the spirit of stacking characters with the same name, I'd agree with it, but carefully establish that this iteration appeared before the topic of the (more) notable main page.Luminum (talk) 06:15, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe, the in-story use of the term and the scope of the article would support it. The infobox inplace suggest the article, while primarily about the current comic book series, also deals with the in-story team of characters. If it is going to do that, then tightly covering the precurser team seems reasonable. Should we get a long plot dump of the team's actions during Civil War? No. No more than we should have a massive running dump of the series content. - J Greb (talk) 11:55, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There is already a hatnote redirecting people to the Civil War article, for information about the first team that was referred to as the Secret Avengers. Since they were two separate teams created for two completely different reasons, I think that any information about the Civil War Secret Avengers belongs in the Civil War (comics) article, and the hatnote on this article can be updated if necessary, to point to a specific section there. Fortdj33 (talk) 14:15, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Probably true. The team is mentioned a lot in the Civil War article, but we don't have a member list. Is there a good place for that? 204.153.84.10 (talk) 16:19, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What about this? http://marvel.wikia.com/Secret_Avengers_(Earth-616)Brian Boru is awesome (talk) 15:34, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's a good place to start, as far as a member list goes. 204.153.84.10 (talk) 16:19, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Max Fury

I haven't been following the series, but from researching on the internet Max Fury appears to be an advanced LMD, not a clone. See [2] and [3]. It might be worth someone who is more familiar with the series than I taking a closer look at the whole article. Cyclonius (talk) 23:58, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Current team roster

Are there any references, other than actual issues of Secret Avengers, that place

Prince of Orphans and Shang-Chi as members of the team? I can see Prince of Orphans being listed as a member, since he has been included on the indica page since his initial story arc, and he has been seen helping members of the team during the Fear Itself storyline. But it appears that the Secret Avengers were merely helping Shang-Chi with the problem regarding his father, because he has not been mentioned as a member, or made an appearance in Secret Avengers since then. Just because a character appears in a few issues does not make him a member. Or is there an alternate source that says otherwise? Fortdj33 (talk) 19:50, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply
]

I am inclined to agree with you, that this was just a guest appearance since in issue 10, Chi walks away and states "Any time I can return the favor, Don't hesitate to call on me".--TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:55, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Marvel NOW!

As part of marvel now! secret avengers will be a book which will see S.H.I.E.L.D making its own avengers team by mind controlling several main avengers and use them for their mission. it will be a S.H.I.E.L.D team instead of original secret avengers team which commander rogers founded. so that is why i think separate section should be created for its roster as it is not continuing from previous team. let me know if its any problem. --Shoxee1214 (talk) 18:16, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Volume 1-2?

There is listed a Volume 1 and 2 history, but no clear distinction in the history bar how many issues are in the first volume and how many are the second(still running). Could someone clarify that for me, thanks. 80.153.139.159 (talk) 22:42, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The way "Captain America: Civil War" ended may hint at an appearance of the Secret Avengers in the MCU

Spoiler Alert!!!

The way "Civil War" ended (Steve leaving his shield with Tony, then freeing the people that helped him fight Tony's team, later being seen in Wakanda along with Bucky and T'Chala probably also including Steve's team as well, I mean where else are they going to go?) may lead to the Secret Avengers showing up in the MCU later on, more than likely during the events of "Avengers: Infinity War" (part 1 and/or part 2). Maybe, eventually that should be said in the Trivia section of this article? Sion8 (talk) 19:21, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
