I think the original name is segregation of duties. Can anyone confirm this?

Broken link

First link to the ISACA definition of SoD is broken. It should be replaced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kdridder (talkcontribs) 11:45, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unclear sentence--Undefined abbreviations In the Application in general business and in accounting section, the sentence:

SoD is fairly new to the IS department, and a high portion of SOX internal control issues come from IT.

is needlessly opaque for several reasons:

  1. The term "IS" is not explained
  2. The term "IT" is not explained
  3. The term "SOX" is not explained
  4. The term "IS" and "IT" are used interchangeably

Also, a "portion" cannot be high or low, but it may be large or small. Either "a high percentage" or "a large portion" should be used, instead.

Unless someone has a better idea, I intend to replace the sentence with:

SoD is fairly new to most Information Technology (IT) departments, but a high percentage of Sarbanes-Oxley internal audit issues come from IT.

Thoughts, anyone? — UncleBubba T @ C ) 23:49, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
