I'm not changing this just yet because I don't have the issue in front of me, but wasn't it Hobgoblin and not Mysterio who put together the Sinister Seven? I seem to remember a good deal of the issue being all the other members bickering with Hobgoblin's leadership or lamenting his constant radio check-ins. I think people may just associate Mysterio with being the leader because he was the only member to escape. -- ScreenWriterJeb.

I think this should be done

I agree, the Sinister Twelve only showed up in one storyline, and that page is mostly a plot summary. Should definitely be merged into "Sinister Six" and cut down to size. -- HKMARKS 03:20, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree as well. Merge. - dharmabum 10:15, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

After a few weeks and no arguments, I think we can call this Consensus to Merge. - HKMARKS 17:26, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mysterio/Sinister Twelve

Mysterio clearly is not dead for this storyline. Or rather, there is a Mysterio active (although it's not clear which one it is..the teleporting mutant, or Beck's cousin/nephew/whatever), as we see him at the Venom auction. Film

The entire film section is either untrue or rumour. Sam Raimi never said anything about the sinister six being in SM4, he just said he'd like them to apear in the series sometime. The rest of that section is speculation and rumour. Wikipedia is about supplying fact, not guess work. I'm changing the section to something more helpfull. 80.5.140.139 (talk) 17:27, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Original non-recruits

He [Doctor Octopus] also tried to get Doctor Doom, Green Goblin, and Lizard to join him, but Doctor Doom was busy with the Fantastic Four, Green Goblin has his own plans for Spider-Man, and Lizard's alter ego of Dr. Curt Connors had no vendetta against Spider-Man.

This isn't in the original story (or is it on pages that got lost in reprints) - where was this shown? Timrollpickering (talk) 19:00, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Information From Article Incorrectly Regarded As Invalid

Recently, information in the article was removed. More specifically, the "Novels" sub-section of the "Other Media" section the article was removed for allegedly containing false or invalid material. However, the information stated in the subsection is perfectly valid, and can be verified as the novels that the subsection is about not only exist but have been published. None of the info from the subsection comes from rumour sites (as previously suggested) but from the source material itself. Darkknight2149 (talk) 20:14, 23 January 2015 (UTC)Darkknight2149[reply]

Orphaned references in Sinister Six

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Sinister Six's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
