Daniel is deaf?

I just watched this and I don't remember Daniel (Lukas Hass) being deaf... FilmFemme 01:13, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes he was deaf. If you recall, he a set of headphones that supposedly helped him hear, but when he found Bodie, it healed him and he took the headphones off. Cyberia23 06:03, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unbiased tone

I've been behind and in front of the camera, and I've done a lot of professional writing. The professional critics cited in the article are not representative. (Check the Netflix reviews, the articulate reviewers are very positive, and the fewer negative reviewers are often largely foaming.) Apparently this movie sets off so much revulsion in some people they can't even explain their emotional response. My suspicion is that sci-fi lovers have trouble imagining that children will have any real part in the future. It will all be robots and super-smart people. You know, not kids.

Anyhow, after trying to impart causality to the peculiar negative response to what is a well-filmed and well-acted movie, it would be nice, given the unusually good reviews in Netflix, if someone found a review that balanced that of Leonard Maltin with that of the "neutral tone expected of an encyclopedia"? 76.102.1.193 (talk) 13:40, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
