Cleanup

  • Seems to me like this article was written by a college student with some free time, and thus lacks the organization due to an article. I suggest someone restructure the article. Elenseel 07:22, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • I made an attempt to get it into order, removing what I perceived as advertising/marketing copy. However, references are still needed to confirm some of the information presented here.

  • Over time I have continued to bulk up the article with the maximum amount of reputable information I could find. Help from an editor with more experience would be greatly appreciated and welcomed. (Tallguy0187 (talk) 15:54, 09 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've continued to add any reputable information I come across and welcome any other editors with an interest in RSC to assist me in reforming this from Start class, to C-class, B-Class, then into GA. (Tallguy0187 (talk) 12:48, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alleged bullying episode

Requests for outside opinions

I have made requests for outside opinions on the NPOV noticeboard and on the talk page of WikiProject Universities.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Notyourbroom (talkcontribs) 01:04, 13 August 2010

Until editors can reference more than one article this doesn't appear to be an event significant to warrant mention in this or any other article. ElKevbo (talk) 02:40, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The single news article doesn't even confirm the events occurred at this college. Keep it out. Fences&Windows 22:29, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The articles listed above ABSOLUTELY confirm that this event took place, it should be included. However, I would request that a neutral party write the inclusion as to remove any possible bias. MrWendalyeah (talk) 13:34, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@MrWendalyeah: you're replying to a thread from 10 years ago. User:Notyourbroom (who sign as Bill Price) hasn't edited in over 3 years at this point.
To discuss this incident, you'll want to start a thread at the bottom of this page. only (talk) 13:46, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Wow 10 years to the day! I should have paid attention to the 2010 instead of the 8/13. Why hasn't this been archived? MrWendalyeah (talk) 14:08, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Needs cites

The national recognition the College has gotten for its green program and LEED buildings should be cited - probably in awards by respective organizations during particular years, available online. Parkwells (talk) 14:37, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Needs to have college presidents IDd

Only one president of Stockton is mentioned; this seems unusual. All should be identified and listed, with periods of service and perhaps try to give them credit for initiatives. There has been a major capital construction program and other initiatives underway in the 21st century, for instance.Parkwells (talk) 14:37, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unique aspects need emphasis

Could better present unique aspects of how the College has built on its location - both environmental and architectural initiatives because of its location in a unique ecology, and programs taking advantage of its proximity to the Jersey Shore and Atlantic City. The hotel & tourism initiative is one; the other side of environmental issues. For one thing, the effects in 2012 of the hurricane present state and national issues in ecology, public policy and sustainability. Also, Michael Graves is an internationally known architect - did he design a building, the master plan, or what?Parkwells (talk) 14:37, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Official name change

The name of the College officially changes at 5:00 pm (1700 hours) Eastern time on February 18. I would not change it until then. I wouldn't even move the article at 1700 hours UTC time because that is quite a bit of difference in time. The Board of Trustees will have a meeting at that time and will approve the new seal, logo, etc. Until then, the article should stay as is and nothing be updated until then. (the article already mentions a name change.) Corkythehornetfan | Chat? 03:57, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and renamed everything assuming that it would be renamed at midnight, so all that needs to be done is a simple page move to complete the process. I was going to move it at midnight since I thought it was going to rename then, but then I saw this post. So, if you want to go ahead and move it, all you will need to do is move the article, and everything else will lock into place.

Also, I should add that there were over 100 edits that were carefully done to avoid mass-renaming all incoming links, so please do not revert any of those, as it will just create redundant work when they have to be corrected again (i.e. links from current faculty, municipalities, transportation articles, etc.).

Thanks for updating everything. It is much appreciated. I wasn't going to revert everything, just this article. I'm glad you did all of that, as I know I wouldn't have wanted to, nor would do I know much about categories. Now that I know your thought behind it, it does make more since to have everything in the article updated. I think it needs moved at the time I stated above. I'll go ahead and revert my revert so that all that needs done is the article move. Thanks for what you've done already and continue to do. Student first amendment conflict

There is enough coverage to support this beng added to the article.

There are many more articles as well, including international. Unfortunately many of those articles present language barriers so the content could absolutely be disputed. MrWendalyeah (talk) 13:39, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MrWendalyeah, insulting one admin and telling another to "get the fuck out of here" is just really not a good way to work in a collaborative project. Only has been here since 2005 (whoa!), so together we have some 28 years here, and over 300,000 edits--compared to your two dozen or so, which will receive extra scrutiny: that you cited links to some right-wing zines is questionable enough, and this whole "Karen" thing, well. In other words, if anyone is going to tell anyone to get the fuck out of here, it is not likely to be you. Speaking of which, I'll drop a templated warning on your talk page, so the next admin who visits it will be alerted to your lack of etiquette. Drmies (talk) 00:15, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
