Official name

Earlier today, I edited this article at the library. Somehow, I forgot to log in. And this was the result [1]. My edit is written to the left, in red. Now, however, I checked the OFFICIAL website of the City of Los Angeles, and it recognizes it as W Sunset Blvd Proof: [2] and a search on Google: [3] hits do come up, although [sic] you might have to READ through the page. And, sevral maps claim it as West Sunset Boulevard as well. [4], [5] [6]

Therefore, it stays. Pacific Coast Highway 23:14, 22 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Even when you're not logged in it's worthwhile adding an edit summary. Thanks for the research. Cheers, -Willmcw 23:51, 22 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Wow---I just checked my copy of Streets & Trips 2005 and it turns out User PCH is right. The only section that is officially just plain "Sunset Blvd" is the portion in Beverly Hills. The rest of the boulevard is "W Sunset Blvd" all the way through Los Angeles and West Hollywood. --Coolcaesar 02:59, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
This is because the portion that used to be "East Sunset Boulevard" in Los Angeles is now known as "Cesar Chavez Avenue". Mike Dillon

Vfd=WTF?

How'd this happen? And how come there's no entry for this page? Pacific Coast Highway 23:16, 25 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I don't follow. BTW, "VfD" is now
WP:AfD. -Willmcw 22:07, 26 September 2005 (UTC)[reply

Ah, now I see what you meant. -Willmcw 22:10, 26 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

red-light district

"Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood has also gained notoriety as a red-light district, due to its relatively high share of prostitution, drag queens and other such activity, especially at night."

what a terrible, terrible sentence. it's poorly written, supposing and insulting, not to mention highly embarrassing to the article.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Krow dhc (talkcontribs)

Arrest Incident

Citing crimes and arrests in general is appropriate to affected locations. However naming living person arrests triggers

WP:BLP issues which are best avoided in this article. I'm revising to delete biographical information. – Conrad T. Pino (talk) 04:23, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply
