Comment

I think the "span" figure listed (2324 ft) is misleading or confusing, at least after having read a bunch of suspension-bridge articles, where "span" refers to the distance between supports (see

Span (architecture)). A reading of this site suggests that 2324 ft is the total distance that the roadway is above water, but that the longest distance between supports is 523 ft (in the main arch span). Thus I think either the listed "span" figure should be changed to 523 ft or the wording should be changed to clarify what's actually being measured. -- 70.130.185.100 (talk) 09:13, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply

Direction of bridge

This bridge goes northwest from New Jersey to Philadelphia, or southwest from Pennsylvania to Palmyra. Editors who say north or west are right, and other editors who change it to say south or east are correct, but it should say northwest / southeast. I hesitate to make any change myself, because other editors will make contrary changes. Best wishes to those bold enough to make a change. Be bold!

A timid editor who crosses this bridge regularly...--Dthomsen8 (talk) 01:00, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
