Population figures and area

There are discrepancies in population figures and area between the box info and the info in the paragraph. As stated in the paragraph, a population of 2 million people is misleading. Does it mean that 2/5 of the population of Singapore is crammed in this area? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yanbugay (talkcontribs) 16:32, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There is a contradiction here: Either the Tampines is in Singapore proper or is outside it--which is it??

Singapore is a city-state, so there is no such thang like "Singapore Proper".

Subdivisions of Singapore are based geographically; it is stated in the article that Tampines is in the East Region.  Andreas  (T) 13:57, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply
