This page has not seen serious attention since its creation in 2007. It's sprawling.

The quite extensive coverage of the ACE valve is curious I havent checked it, but if ACE was the first to supply a valve for this application, a standalone article might be warranted. But the valve itself cant be a game changer, and simple low-pressure control valves for storage tanks have been used before 1970. For instance, it was not unusual to have fuel gas (mostly ethane/propane) blanketing of full-range naphtha tanks at refineries. And yes, this was called tank blanketing, although a flammable gas was used, this article interprets blanketing as involving inerts, mainly nitrogen. Anyway, the valve itself cant be a game changer, it must also be related to the availability of nitrogen in large quantities at reasonable cost.

• The information on nitrogen tank agitation is interesting, but does it belong here?
• The reference to sparging is curious.
• The statement that Tank blanketing strategies are also implemented ... for final packaging before sealing the product seems curious. Would that really be blanketing, it seems to belong to Controlled atmosphere.

The content in the book has a citation to some other reference ([2]) which I cannot see, but someone who has access to the book can find out. The book is dated 2012, however the content in this article is from 2007. Jay (talk) 05:14, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
