If the official title is now just Tate, shouldn't this be moved to Tate and the first sentence restructured as something like:

Tate (formerly the Tate Gallery)..." ?

That is, unless it is set up this way to avoid technical restrictions due to Tate disambiguation. —The preceding

The gallery could be the "default" page for

The marketing decision to change the official name from "The Tate Gallery" to "Tate" does go against the rules of the English language which requires a definite article in such a title, and was deservedly mocked at the time in Private Eye.Gordoncph (talk) 18:09, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
