Here is no information about how this movie did financially. They also say that this film nearly ended Geena Davis's movie actress carreer, though I have no confirmation to this claim. Could someone, who knows better, add up the missing information...

My personal thought about this movie is that it is quite underrated film and among other things it shows the versatility of miss Davis as an actress in a light that she can perform well in a role of hit(wo)man. For some reason the critics seem to think that all she is good for is a home dwelling, childspoiling mother. An other actor showing his skill in this movie is in my opinion Samuel L. Jackson whose personality and style works well as a cheap private investigator with questionable morale...

I second the opinion of the underrating of this movie. the screenwriter was a genius man and Geena Davis we really love her. And who can say anything about Sammy.
