Webb Canyon Chronicle was nominated for deletion. The discussion was closed on 19 August 2016 with a consensus to merge. Its contents were merged into The Webb Schools. This article starts out talking about the CA schools and then, towards the bottom, brings up the TN school and gives an external link to that school. It needs much better organization, as possibly a disambiguation of some sort. --Bobak 15:39, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vivian Webb School was indeed founded in 1981, but not at the behest of Thompson Webb, because the latter died in 1975. The trustees wanted the school to become coeducational without compromising the original character of the boys' school. --bamjd3d

This information is biased. • I took a shot at cleaning up the advertisement-type content and adding more references. Who decides whether more still needs to be done? For example, there is still quite a bit of information that, while clearly neutral in tone and certainly interesting, may be more detail than one would expect in an encyclopedia entry. Carabl, whoever you are: I don't know what your beef is, but I can personally attest that John Scalzi, the writer, did indeed attend Webb. I knew him there personally during my time there. John was a freshman while I was a senior, in 1983-84, and graduated in 1987, subsequently attending the University of Chicago. I am also quite certain about Admiral Watkins.
