Untitled

Since when did Timon and Pumbaa appear in Ice Age: The Melt Down and Barnyard?

Animal Kingdom

In animal kindom, in one of the exhibits, there is a comparison to a meerkat, and a warthogs skull, should this be added? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.118.144.236 (talk) 18:51, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Names

Why would the fact that Timon's last name is Berkowitz be contradictory of the fact that Pumbaa is a caring friend and Timon isn't? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.242.194.97 (talk) 17:39, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It isn't. A look at the paragraph shows that this may refer to the meanings of their respective name -"simpleton" and "he who respects" being seemingly contradictory to their natures. However the placement of the fact about Timon's surname may be confusing- —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.96.32.46 (talk) 18:33, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

mother/father figure in the lion king one and a half

"Pumbaa generally filling in as the fatherly figure as Timon subsequently acts in the role of the mother" i dont really see why thats true. especially when timon and simba were challenging each other to things. simba eventually beating timons old records. where they then have a snail eating contest to see who would win. if either, it seems more of a fatherly role rather than motherly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.68.64.17 (talk) 02:13, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Timon is a Meerkat

I notice someone edits this page to show Timon as a Prairie Dog which is native to North America, instead of a Meerkat which is native to Africa.

Pumbaa

I think it should be noted that Pumbaa more resembles a wild boar than a warthog. AmericanLeMans (talk) 18:15, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Timon and Pumbaa were also at least one music video

I remember a music video that was made for the song "Stand By Me" which at least visually was sung mainly by Timon with Pumbaa singing the "extra bits" of the song; For example, Timon sings in rhythm "I won't cry" then Pumbaa says "You won't cry?" and Timon responds and then continues with the song. Here is a link to a Youtube video shows what I am talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Jm1_U3mZY8 Potter76 (talk) 00:23, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

voice

James Arnold Taylor was the voice of Timon in KHII, why do my edits keep get reverted/undone? --Smartie2thaMaxXx (talk) 21:01, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Simple reason, your edits are contentious so need to be backed up with some form of proof. Edit warring isn't going to keep it in for any longer and it is your responsibility to find a reference for your claim if others are disagreeing. From what I've noticed it doesn't seem limited to just the voice actor but also the names which also seem suspect so it would help you to find references to support your edits, "I'm sure of it" isn't good enough..

Educational shorts

Someone please add the film title "Wild About Safety: Safety Smart Online!" at the bottom of the list of educational shorts. For some reason, I'm not allowed to add it. 85.81.82.15 (talk) 18:55, 23 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. I finally managed to add the title myself. 85.81.82.15 (talk) 18:10, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Voice of Timon

I would like to call attention on the question I asked in Talk:Timon & Pumbaa (TV series)#Voice of Timon. --Newblackwhite (talk) 17:35, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Citation for Tim Rice wanting Mayall & Edmondson for roles

Is there a source for Tim Rice saying that he wanted Mayall & Edmondson to play the roles of Timon and Pumbaa?

I notice the text referencing this was added back in March 2009 (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Timon_and_Pumbaa&type=revision&diff=279831394&oldid=278921112), and has remained unaltered since then... but I can't find any source for this, other than this Wikipedia article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MykReeve (talkcontribs)

MykReeve, my Google Fu is not proving any more helpful. The closest I can find is this reference, which is suggestive of the Mayall/Lion King link being a rumor, though they do say that Mayall auditioned for a few Lion King roles. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:15, 21 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In this interview Tim Rice denies it, so it should be removed. ed g2stalk 21:55, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

It has come to my attention that this page is often vandalized. The names of the characters were changed to "Simon and Tabuba" for some odd reason, and the actors portraying the characters in the live-action remake are constantly being incorrectly changed to Cree Summer and Lenny Kravitz, rather than the correct actors (Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen). I just thought that I would bring it to the talk page and promote a possible solution. --DeaditeWheatley (talk) 05:08, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Cree Summer and Lenny Kravitz

Several users continue changing the voice actors in the 2019 live-action remake to Cree Summer and Lenny Kravitz, despite the fact that the characters are confirmed to be portrayed by Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen. The most recent user in question has been reported but there will be more. I suggest semi-protecting this page so that this misinformation can no longer be spread. --DeaditeWheatley (talk) 15:42, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
