I moved the following sentences here from the end of the History section as they do not mean anything to a person who lacks local knowledge.
- Adisankarar is the person who stopped the Bali poojas conducted here at vattaparaiamman sanathi.
- The temple is also famous for its Suyambhu sivalingam, God siva blesses people in the form of suyambhu
- and it is the moolavar of the temple.
By all means reinstate them if the redlinks can be

Chola History
I read other Wikipedia pages suggesting that Chola Kingdom has a history related with Thiruvottiyur. Can anyone help me to write it? Aadhitharajantalk 21:59, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
