The result of the debate was NO CONSENSUS FOR PAGE MOVE, per discussion below. Tom Corbett, Space Cadet → Tom Corbett — This page was original entitled Tom Corbett, however was moved to "make way" for an article on an attorney general. Oppose I am not aware of a policy as stated. Some believe the policy should be that real people get preference over fictional characters. I think it may be best to have Tom Corbett as a dab page. -- Beardo 01:14, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. I created a dab for meantime - but: the name of the series is Tom Corbett, Space Cadet, and the article is about the whole thing, not just the character. "Tom Corbett" only clearly refers to one thing: the AG of Pennsylvania. Note - Mr. Corbett is now the governor of Pennsylvania. I agree with top-line disambiguation, or at least a line at the top of this article which says, "For the Pennsylvania governor, please see Tom Corbett." Bill S. (talk) 08:27, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

General Comments

1. No mention of the many guest actors (some later big names) who appeared on the television program. 2. The program was perhaps one of the first to have toy tie-in merchandising in a big way. Take a look at the Sears or Ward's Christmas catalogs for 1950 and 1951. 3. An episode summary with plot lines would be nice.Oldbubblehead (talk) 04:01, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It should be mentioned that the character of Astro (makes me think of the Jetson dog) is not an alien, but a human, born of Earth colonists who settled on Venus. Can that be entered somewhere? GBC (talk) 23:47, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Overlap?

In the section on the show's TV history, it has it appearing on ABC from January 1951 through September 1952. It also shows it as appearing on NBC from July to September 1951. Is this a mistake, or did it appear on both networks at the same time? Somebody who knows what actually went on needs to clean this up one way or another.
