FDA don't like combination of GDH-PQQ diabetic test strips with use of Bexxar
There is an
FDA warning (http://www.fda.gov/MedicalDevices/Safety/AlertsandNotices/PublicHealthNotifications/ucm176992.htm) that health care institutions should not use diabetes test strips that use GDH-PQQ (glucose dehydrogenase-pyrroloquinoline quinone) technology on patients who are receiving one of a number of drugs, one of which is listed as Bexxar. The ostensible warning against GDH-PQQ is that it could react improperly with other sugars like maltose, xylose, or galactose. Is it known that normal formulations of Bexxar contain any sugars or that it is metabolised into sugar like entities? Soarhead77 (talk) 12:48, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
