The city of Tottenham Ontario Centennial was celebrated in 1984. One of the celebration events was the minting of a $1 coin which was, as stated on the coin, "GOOD FOR $1.00 IN TOTTENHAM EXPIRES DEC. 31, 1984" The obverse of the coin contains the following: Large numeralls 100 with a water tower in the 1. In the first zero, the text Tottenham Centennial 1884-1984. In the second zero, a book, pencil and text "School", "Church", "Friends".
